Family Reach Foundation (FRF) recently held its ninth successful Cooking Live! event at the Ritz-Carlton, Battery Park New York. More than 150 people came out to support the foundation’s mission to be a lifeline for families fighting cancer. The New York event raised more than $375,000 – a record breaking amount for Cooking Live! These funds will support Family Reach families by ensuring access to care, a safe, stable home for recovery and help with the everyday essentials these families need to survive.
Castle is honored to have worked with Family Reach again this year to help produce this heartwarming event where five of the world’s top culinary talents came together to create a delicious, five-course meal and intimate experience for the audience. While experiencing the culinary delights of celebrity chefs Ming Tsai, Masaharu Morimoto, Carla Hall, Marc Forgione, Ken Oringer and Alan Dancyger, alongside celebrity sous-chefs Ted Allen, Rachel Dratch and Mike Lee, guests heard inspiring stories from families fighting cancer and how Family Reach helped them get through the most difficult time in their lives.
Having worked with Family Reach on local events in various capacities for the past five years, its mission and the families that they work with have become very important to us. We find true inspiration in the organization as well as the parents and children we have met along the way.
