George brings extensive business journalism and corporate communications experience to Castle as he works across the firm’s client base on content and strategy.
George was the executive editor of the Boston Business Journal for 14 years after working at CFO magazine as a senior editor. He is the author of a book, The Boston Economy: Understanding and Accessing One of the World’s Greatest Job Markets, and he taught a course based on his book at Suffolk University for several years. He has published op-eds on economic trends in The Boston Globe, CommonWealth Magazine and other publications. His work in strategic communications has focused on developing thought leadership content and included clients in renewable energy, cannabis regulation and workforce development. Most recently he led Northeastern University’s news division as executive editor and owns and operates MassNonprofit News, a digital publication serving the Massachusetts nonprofit community. He received a B.A. in English Literature from Binghamton University.
George is an avid reader and golfer and lives in Boston with his wife Marcela and their two yellow labs.
