Child’s Play – A Facebook game improves maternal health

ABC News and the UN Foundation have launched a Facebook game that educates its players about maternal health. The goal of the game is to increase awareness for issues that affect the health of mothers and their children, such as nutrition in developing countries. In addition to its Facebook efforts, the Million Moms Challenge initiative connects mommy bloggers with NGOs that improve maternal health. These social media efforts helped the initiative raise $17,000 in its first three days alone.
