The Castle Group’s Sandy Lish Honored as “Emerging Star” by Center for Women & Enterprise
Lish and iRobot’s Helen Greiner Feted at 11th Annual Auction & Dinner Gala
Boston, MA, March 27, 2006 – Sandy Lish, principal and co-founder of The Castle Group, Inc., an independent, award-winning public relations and events management agency, received the Center for Women & Enterprise (CWE) “Emerging Star” Award for her business success and invaluable support in helping women realize their dreams of business ownership and improve their lives. Andrea Silbert, founder of CWE and candidate for Massachusetts lieutenant governor, presented the award to Lish during CWE’s 11th annual auction honoring those whose support has made a profound impact on the effectiveness and reach of the organization.
This year’s other honorees included Helen Greiner, chairman of iRobot Corp., and Grace Richardson, the director and founder of Ms. Grace’s Homeschool, who received the Andrea Silbert Rising Star Award.
This honor is the latest in a series of accolades for Lish, including being named a Top 10 PR specialist by Women’s Business, one of the Boston Business Journal’s “40 under 40” business leaders and a finalist for PR News PR People Award. Additionally, The Castle Group was named one of the Boston Business Journal’s “Best Places to Work,” and the Smaller Business Association of New England presented Castle with its “Profitable Connections” award for its support of the regional small business community.
While serving as a mentor and coach to entrepreneurs as a sponsor of CWE’s Springboard: New England Venture Capital Forum, Lish remains devoted to numerous other charitable organizations. She is a March of Dimes board member and chair of its communications committee, WGBH corporate board member and chair of its Arts and Culture Committee, a board member of Satellife, a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing medical information to developing nations, and a volunteer for Morgan Memorial Goodwill.
