TravMedia
Since much of travel journalism happens at 35,000 feet, journalists need a dedicated resource to navigate and organize the constant stream of travel news that is sent their way. In response, TravMedia, the world's travel news portal for travel industry professionals, has launched the United States. TravMedia was designed by travel journalists for travel journalists, and gives travel companies and organizations a relevant way to deliver news directly to media that need industry information.
TravMedia offers journalists free access to news along with photos, corporate information and PR contact details for more than 1,300 travel organizations worldwide. Currently, nearly 4,000 journalists access news on TravMedia and the subscriber base continues to grow. TravMedia distributes travel news directly to subscribing journalists, tailored to their industry preferences. Travel companies posting news on TravMedia represent a broad cross-section of the industry: airlines, cruising, hotels, car hire, tourism boards, theme parks and more.
By registering for a TravMedia account, travel organizations have the following tools at their fingertips:
- E-mail Alerts - TravMedia issues breaking news to journalists through emails delivered on an hourly, daily or weekly basis. Since journalists are inundated with press releases, TravMedia's services allow journalists to specify their preferred areas of industry focus, ensuring communications pros reach a willing and appreciative audience. E-mail alerts allow users to scan all news for stories of interest, or directly contact the source of the news.
- News Room - TravMedia's News Room is where reporters can find the latest news from organizations worldwide including national and international tourist boards, tour operators, attractions, hotels and resorts, airlines, car rental companies and online travel organizations.
- Press Releases - Travel organizations can upload press releases and images to create an archive of news for journalists to access on TravMedia. Releases appear with company logos, images and PR contact details and journalists can download them from the website.
- Photo Library - Newsmakers can make their press releases more compelling by pairing them with downloadable photography. TravMedia allows companies to post high-resolution photos and logos that journalists can download for free. Travel industry organizations registered with TravMedia are entitled to host up to 40 images in their own dedicated image library.
- Press Center - Each TravMedia registered company is given a dedicated press center that exhibits company press releases, archived news, company photos and logos, and PR contact information.
