Communications success is dictated by more than just great ideas - the execution behind those ideas is what delivers valuable results. As senior vice president for The Castle Group, Mark manages and drives staff and account activity with a three-tiered approach of delivering ideas, execution and results to clients. Mark is a strong believer in the written word and the power it has to convey messages and ideas to varied audiences.

Overall, Mark develops strategy for the agency's healthcare, travel, consumer, financial, technology and business-to-business clients, and has led award-winning campaigns for companies and brands such as FleetBoston, MFS Investment Management, Genzyme and Harvard Medical School.

Mark joined The Castle Group from New England Cable News where he was a founding employee and was responsible for marketing and research for the sales department. His extensive skills in television marketing and research are an asset to the agency, and bring added depth to its already strong media relations. This unique perspective on the inner workings of media outlets contribute to Mark's ability to identify and develop story ideas that appeal to the media and support client initiatives. His responsibilities at NECN included driving added value to sponsors by creating marketing vehicles to extend advertising presence beyond just on-air commercials.

Mark is a graduate of Emerson College where he studied mass communication. While at Emerson, Mark worked in the public relations office of the National Park Service in Boston, supporting the publicity and marketing efforts of the various sites of the famous Freedom Trail.

Mark is an active member of the Smaller Business Association of New England, former member of the National Business Travel Association. He is a member of the board of directors for The Freedom Trail Foundation where he also chairs the Board's business development committee, and is on the advisory committee for the Adventure Travel World Summit.
